Solutions for Carbon Footprinting in Logistics

Please join Lean & Green International and Elain in this free webinar on carbon footprinting in logistics and how to measure, report and reduce your emissions.

In this webinar we will address the challenges in calculating and allocating carbon emissions in logistics (carbon footprinting). Many companies are already looking to measure and reduce their carbon emissions. Often driven by international sustainability targets for 2030/2050 and upcoming regulations like the EU Corporate Sustainability Reporting Directive (CSRD).

Since the logistic emissions often form a major component of the total emissions, the calculations and data required for analysis become more important. This includes scope 3 emissions: all emissions that occur in the upstream and downstream activities of an organisation like outsourced logistics.

Pilot project Lean & Green Sweden and Northern Europe with Elain

With this webinar we also aim to raise awareness and interest for the upcoming pilot project. We plan to initiate the Lean & Green program in Sweden in collaboration with Elain.

  • JUNE 8 - 14.00 - 15.00 CET - Free online webinar
  • Opening word and explanation pilot project
  • Carbon Footprinting and reduction with Lean & Green International
  • Elain - Data driven insights for sustainable logistics
  • Discussion and next steps towards pilot project Sweden

Has your company already started with measuring their carbon footprint? Do you know what sort of data you need and where to get it from? Are you ready to report on this with the upcoming CSRD?

A growing number of both national and multinational companies realize carbon footprinting in logistics is rapidly becoming the new standard and in the near future will be mandatory.

This may raise questions like:

  • What do we need to know about the upcoming regulations?
  • Do we have all the data we need to analyse our (logistical) carbon footprint and what if we don’t have all the data?
  • What benefits can carbon footprinting have for our company (and/or for our clients and customers)?
  • Can we get recognition for the reductions we have already achieved?

Join our free webinar trough the form below to learn more about carbon footprinting, the data you need to measure, and how your data quality can impact it.

About the organizers

Founded in 2008, Lean & Green International is the leading carbon reduction program in Europe and North America. The 550+ participating companies receive recognition for achieving there verified reduction goals. Annual measurement of carbon emissions in logistics and an action plan for reduction are at the core of the program. The program has a proven track record of enabling collaboration in logistics and guiding our partners towards a less wasteful and a more sustainable future.

Through data driven insights Elain facilitate’s the shift to greener transport for our customers. Elain has a unique approach, utilizing data directly from the source to analyse and report the emissions and energy usage from transport. The primary data ensures that the results are accurate and verifiable. Elain’s platform facilitates easy tracking of sustainability performance and emission statistics, which can be seamlessly integrated with TMS or preferred visualisation tools. This empowers companies to make informed decisions towards reducing their emissions and showcase their progress to stakeholders.

About the pilot

Lean & Green International and Elain will be looking for shippers, retailers, transport buyers and logistic service providers in Sweden and Northern Europe who would be interested to participate in a pilot project. The aim of the pilot is to measure and reduce the carbon footprint of the participants and set the foundation for the program in Sweden. Are you new to carbon footprinting or already taking steps in measuring and reducing? Would you like to stay updated about the pilot? You can find more information here.

Lean & Green International will guide participants through measuring their carbon footprint, giving recognition for past achievements in carbon reductions. Elain will provide participants with the tool to improve their data quality by making primary data collection easy.

The round-table discussion is set to take place 27 June 2023, 13:00 – 14:00 CET.
