    • What is Lean & Green?

      Lean & Green is the leading CO2 reduction program in logistics. Lean & Green provides companies with verified recognition for achieving proven CO2-reduction targets in the logistical operation. Participants draft their CO2 Action Plan based on our 5 Star Framework in line with international standards like ISO 14083. The program aims to structurally reduce logistic CO2 emissions through annual monitoring of CO2 emissions and projects towards continuous improvement. 100%  Collaboration, 0%  Emissions. There are 16 countries in Europe and North America where the programme is implemented on a national level by various partners. The international community has a total of over 500 participating companies. The international program focuses on multinationals in which the scope of reductions measured and reduced is brought to a minimum of a European scale. With this programme, companies align with the and upcoming reporting requirement from the EU ‘Fit For 55 programme’.

    • Why is the Lean & Green Summit being organized?

      Lean & Green regularly organizes webinars, online case studies and physical meetings in Delft or at participants’ homes. But it has also added a major annual event: the Summit. We believe that by sharing knowledge and building networks, innovative collaborations can emerge. With the goal of reducing CO2 emissions. With the Lean & Green Summit we want to accelerate together by sharing knowledge.

    • What can I expect during the Summit?

      The Lean & Green International Summit 2023 offers place and opportunity for special interactions and plenty of room to interact and exchange knowledge and experience. In a full, interactive and inspiring day program, we will take visitors along innovations, developments and opportunities within the themes of Energy Transition, People, Society and Logistics, Cities and Space, Digitalization and Circular.

    • Who is the Summit being organized for?

      For companies, governments, science, knowledge institutions and students within logistics or who work closely with organizations and institutions within logistics. And anyone else interested in the Lean & Green Summit.

    • Where is the Lean & Green Summit taking place?

      This year, for the first time, there will be two editions of the Summit. In addition to the Dutch edition on Nov. 22, there will also be an international edition on Nov. 29. The Lean & Green Netherlands Summit, on Nov. 22, will take place at the Schiecentrale in Rotterdam. The Lean & Green International Summit, on November 29, will take place at Pakhuis de Zwijger in Amsterdam.

    • Is the Lean & Green Summit free to attend?

      Yes, the Summit is free to attend. This is made possible by the Summit’s various partners.

    • Who is coming to the Summit?

      The Lean & Green Summit is for anyone with an interest in logistics. The program focuses in particular on government agencies, the business community (shippers, carriers, logistics service providers) and knowledge institutions and industry associations. During the Lean & Green Netherlands Summit, some 400 interested parties meet around a variety of topics that are important for the logistics sector now and in the future. During the Lean & Green International Summit, you can participate both online and physically.
